INTRODUCTION
There is a blade in Montara that has never been wielded. Never touched. Never lifted from its resting place.
To the Tactilians, it is not a weapon. It is not a tool. It is a question waiting to be answered.
A CREATION WITHOUT AN END
Deep within the Sky-Forges, resting on a pedestal of blackened stone, the Unfinished Blade glows like an ember that refuses to fade. Forged by the first smiths, it was meant to be the greatest weapon JunJia had ever seen.
But something stopped them.
The blade was never completed. Some say the metal rejected its final shaping, resisting every hammer strike as if it had a will of its own. Others claim the smiths saw something within the molten steel—a vision of the future, or perhaps the past—and abandoned their work.
To this day, the forge remains cold. No one dares to finish what was started.
THE WAITING STEEL
Every generation, a single Tactilian artisan is chosen to stand before the blade. They do not touch it. They do not try to lift it.
Instead, they listen.
Some say the blade hums. Some say it speaks. Some say it is waiting for the right hands—the ones strong enough to shape a new destiny.
FIRST-HAND ACCOUNTS OR RECORDED LEGENDS
“The blade was never meant to be finished.”—Renna Vos, Montaran Scholar
“It is not steel. It is a promise left unfulfilled.”—Drenn Kaelor, Smithing Historian
“One day, someone will lift the blade. And the world will change.”—Toraan Velk, Tactilian Artisan
CONCLUSION
The Unfinished Blade is more than metal. It is more than legend.
It is proof that not everything in Montara is meant to be forged, reforged, and reshaped.
Some things must be left waiting.
